Spring has properly arrived at Roberts Farm after what was a very wet winter. For the last few months we have been knee deep in mud and apart from Chewey paying a visit to Butser Ancient Farm (where they also have Gloucester Old Spot pigs) there really was nothing to report.
So what about all the animals?
The ponies both survived the winter. Jasper, our little Welsh Mountain, is becoming more and more cheeky. In fact he really reminds me of my youngest daughter Orla, who is also 5! We have started doing pony games with them, which they seem to enjoy and both love hacking out with the two horses.
Bagel and Jo are both doing well and enjoying being back out in the fields. As for the pigs, well they spent the winter months in the barn which is never much fun for them. However, we are moving them up to the fields at the top of the farm tomorrow which will make them both very happy.
Have a great bank holiday weekend and make sure you visit next week to see how we got on moving the pigs!
