Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Ok, so where has our Spring gone?! Could it be any colder?
Happy Mother's Day to all you Mums out there. I hope your day was as lovely as mine was. My children all made fantastic cards and not only did I manage to escape for a couple of hours in the morning to go riding, I didn't have to empty the dishwasher for a whole 24hrs! Now that is a treat!
After what was an enormous Sunday lunch, I called up Als so see if she fancied a brisk walk with Lucy and all the kids. Plus my three were desperate to see the puppies so we all put on our winter woollies and headed over to their farm. As we walked in the back door we were greeted by eight bundles of gorgeousness! It is unbelievable how much they have grown in a week.
They are now regularly fed solid food and have stepped up from Weetabix to proper dog food, which Als soaks in water to soften it up. It is almost impossible to contain them all in one place as they are in to every thing! They have even worked out how to climb the stairs which I would imagine is not ideal, especially as the farm house is quite big so a little puppy could easily get lost!
I am very envious of all their new owners as these little pups are adorable. I think Als will be very sad to see them all go on Good Friday.
Life on the farm is pretty bleak. Poor Chewey and Pokey were getting use to the spring sunshine and this morning when I turned up to feed them, they had rebuilt their warm 'nest' bed and were well in truly snuggled in it to keep warm. Even Bo wasn't that keen on getting out of his stable, and I don't blame him!
On a positive note, it seems that Pokey is pregnant again so we will soon have some more piglets down on the farm. I will keep you posted.
Have a good week.
