It's been a very busy summer and after eight weeks of vacation, my children are finally back at school and life is starting to feel normal again! Autumn is definitely on the way. I have spent the last few days digging out all the horse’s winter rugs and dusting off the hay nets in preparation for the cold dark nights ahead.
So what's been happening at Roberts Farm?
Well, we have a new arrival. Gorgeous Jo - but I will introduce him properly later in the week.
Pokey Pig is pregnant again and her piglets are due in October so that will be some thing to look forward to. She needs all the strength she can get at the moment and was very happy to get cake for breakfast this morning - see the video clip above!
Bagel, my horse, who we thought was going to stop growing at 15.2 hands has had a growth spurt and has shot up to 15.3 hands and could possibly grow to 16 hands! Consequently, he is a little bit clumsy at the moment and reminds me of my son, Max, who constantly trips over himself!
I hope you all had a wonderful summer break and are looking forward to hearing all about the adventures on the farm as we approach the winter months.
Make sure you tune in later in the week to meet Jo!
