Happy New Year! I can't believe that Christmas is over and 2013 has begun. It went so quickly; I didn't even have a chance to post up a blog over the holidays, so apologies! My three children have been keeping me very busy, as have all the trips to various relatives across the country.
So news from the farm...well, just before Christmas day Dumbella and her two sisters were moved to their new home, which is literally five minutes down the road. As I have spent so much time with them in the first few months of their lives it was very sad for me to see them go. Their new family is lovely and they have a big barn to run around in with lots of new animals to make friends with so I know they will all be very happy. I will keep you posted on their development and hopefully introduce you to some of the characters that live with them.
Back at the yard, poor Pokey was a little sad for a couple of days after they left. In the past she has always been quite pleased to see the piglets go as usually there are 9 to11 of them so you can imagine that must get pretty tiring! However, as she only had the three, I think she enjoyed having them around and clearly missed them when they were gone. As a mother myself I felt for her so made sure I bought her down all her favourite things...including chocolate brownies! In my next video post you will see how well they went down!!
Over the Christmas period my younger sister and her family all came down to stay and bought their two little ponies, Gracie and Georgia, and her enormous horse Bolero. It was great fun taking all seven children out on Christmas day with their new bikes and two ponies in tow. Happy days!
Now that 2013 is in full swing, Als and I will start working on the next book - Tummy Trouble at Roberts Farm so I will keep you updated. A huge thanks to all of you for giving us so much support with the launch of Charlie Pig's Big Day! I hope you all enjoyed it and are looking forward to the next Roberts Farm Adventure.
