Another half term over in a flash. We packed in so much my children could probably do with another week off!
Just before the kids broke up I met up with Als to see how the puppies were getting on. They were then just two weeks old and super cute! All of them were starting to open their eyes and were much more alert and active. What I found amazing was how much they had grown! Poor Lucy must be exhausted just keeping up with all the feed times. Als was telling me that she has to feed her a lot more to ensure she can continue to produce enough milk to sustain the eight little pups that seem to be constantly suckling!
Their legs still aren't strong enough for them to stand up properly so they continued to shuffle along the floor in a swimming motion. I have no doubt that when I go to visit them tomorrow (over a week since my last visit) they will be causing chaos around the house!
Things down at the farm are very quiet. Pokey and Chewey are currently having a new sty built for them in the barn, which should be ready very soon. Hopefully, if the weather starts to improve, by the end of March they will be able to go back up to the top field where they have a large outdoor area, with plenty of space to snuffle about.
I hope you are all keeping warm - have a great week.
