I have very exciting news - our first book, Charlie Pig's Big Day, is literally at the printers as I write! Als and I are going to pick up our first copies on Thursday so make sure you take advantage of our pre-Christmas promotional offer and order a copy of the book today in the Our Books section of the web site.
So back to the farm - last week was very hectic! My sister offered to look after five extra pigs for ten days, and they have caused carnage! It appears they have no fear of the electric fencing and consequently we spent a lot of time chasing after them! I am pleased to say we have finally found a fencing solution that works and fingers crossed, they will stay put until it is time for them to return home.
Pokey and the piglets, on the other hand, have been on their best behaviour. Dumbella is full of energy and loves playing with her two sisters, although sometimes a little too rough! Poor Mischief (the one with the black spot around her eye) does seem to come out the worst and when I turned up the other morning, she had a little bite mark on her nose. I have no doubt she will toughen up and get her own back. She might be the smallest but she is by far the cheekiest and can use this to her advantage, especially when there are chocolate biscuits involved!
Watch the video clip and see how much they have all grown!
