I am sitting at my desk watching the rain pour down. It looks like our glorious summer is officially over!
As promised, it's time for you all to meet Jo! Jo is my sister's new horse that has been with us now for about a month. Like Bagel, he is an ex-race horse and was suppose to be running in the Grand National* last year but unfortunately damaged the tendon in one of his legs so can no longer race. He is enormous - 16.3 hands, which trust me is big! Saying that, he has the most gorgeous nature and is amazing with the children. He loves a good cuddle and gets on really well with Bagel. In fact, so well they can't bear to be separated which can be a real pain if we want to take one out for a ride without the other! (See the video clip above!)
Have a great weekend and don't miss our 'beauty feature' next week!
*The Grand National is a national hunt race held annually at Aintree with the horses jumping 30 unusually large fences over two circuits. It has been described as the 'ultimate test of horse and rider'.
