Welcome to Roberts Farm!

Six years ago my husband and I moved out of London and bought a house in the middle of the country. I thought I would love it - the great outdoors, big log fires, a vegetable patch! However, the reality was it was a huge culture shock and I missed being able to open my front door and walk to the shops, order a pizza and get it delivered to my house, put on some heels rather than welly boots!

Fortunately my sister lives in the next village along and owns a small farm which has become my sanctuary. I say that in the loosest sense, as invariably the place is knee deep in mud and I can't count the number of times I have turned up to find pigs where they shouldn't be!  

As chaotic as it is, to me it is still a very special place and hence inspired me to create Roberts Farm and write a series of children's books about all the different animals my kids and I have grown to know and love. Working with my good friend Als, who is responsible for all the amazing illustrations, we launched our first book at the end of 2012- Charlie Pig's Big Day! We are now working on our next book in the series, Tummy Trouble at Roberts Farm, which should be ready by the summer.
