I haven't spent that much time at the farm this week as my youngest daughter has been poorly. I am pleased to say that she is now much better and will be able to enjoy Christmas Day.
We took Chewey (the boar) back down to the yard, having been moved to the top field for a week. It is a bit of a trek and for a pig his size, involved quite a lot of exercise - something he is not used to doing! The good news is that the majority of the journey is down hill, plus he wasn't given his breakfast so we knew he would be keen to follow me down as quickly as he could, especially as I was carrying a bucket of food!
He caused quite a stir with all the horses in the surrounding fields, that gathered round to check him out! Most of them would never have seen a pig before, let alone one Chewy's size!
So half an hour later we were all safely back in the yard. Chewey was very pleased to be in his sty again and close to his girlfriend, Pokey. More importantly, he was desperate for his well-deserved breakfast, followed by a long nap!
